Update

The Middle Schoolers performed wonderfully during the Christmas Concert. The brass ensemble and the woodwind ensemble both played a number of songs for the concert. Their performance was much better than what they played previously during the practices. I was very impressed and so was our band teacher.

The Middle school ensembles played very well and improved much over the past couple of weeks. The concert is coming up and I hope that they will continue this performance. We worked with the Brass ensemble and the woodwind ensemble as well.

Update

So, this week was our first week of tutoring the Middle schoolers. The brass ensemble and the woodwind ensemble arrived and they chose their music. They began to sightread the music and everything thing went smoothy, except for a couple of rough points during the hard bits. I hope I will be able to work with them more before the Christmas concert and before the Spring Concert next year.

MAD Project Proposal

Dear Mr. Chromik,

I would like to propose my MAD project to you for the year 2013-2014.  The novel idea is to tutor music/band students.  We (my sister, Elizabeth, and I) would like to help with Middle school practice club, MS woodwind ensemble and Elementary school students if possible.  

We call this MAD project, the Music tutoring MAD Project.

We hope to work with students and help them develop the musicianship and technique.  Hopefully, this will help students in their future music endeavors.

We are willing to work with people who need help with their instruments.

This project is a continuation of last year's project and we hope to make it even better.  

Resources we might need would be a practice room or two or to work with students in.  

Our proposed time would be 30-40 minutes once every fortnight.  

We hope that this wonderful MAD project will be approved.

A Continuation...

This year, my MAD project will be a continuation of last years. Last year, I helped tutor and supervise the Middle school practice Club and also the Middle School Woodwind Ensemble. Last year, the practice Club students improved greatly and the woodwind ensemble made a spectacular performance in the End of the Year Spring Concert. This year, I will try to work with not only the woodwind ensemble, but also the other ensembles that might need help.
